On April 27, 2007, the Dothan Wiregrass Branch #5025 of the NAACP held its Annual Freedom Fund Banquet. Over 300 people showed up to attend. The guest speaker was Mr. Hillard Hamm of the Enterprise Gazzette out of Enterprise, Alabama who is also an NAACP member. He spoke about giving back to the community and his days as a CIA agent. He also mentioned how businesses should give back and how we should support them and offer opportunities for Economic Empowerment within our community. Several awards where given out including one special award to Mr. Sherman Rose for his dedicated service to our community and for being a living legacy. |
